Oneness Awareness: Sankt Petersburg, Pushkin, and Moscow, Russia
Pushkin, the cultural and historical resort haven near Sankt Petersburg, celebrated its 300th anniversary in June 2010. The community was alive with celebration and ceremony.
A highlight was the dedication of recently rebuilt St. Catherine's Cathedral in the heart of Pushkin's town centre.
Sankt Petersburg was once the capital of Russia and features historic treasures such as the Hermitage, the Russian Art Museum, and Peterhof.
My visit to Moscow was a whirlwind tour of historical sites that included The Kremlin, Red Square, The Cathedral of Christ
the Savior, museums, sculptures, art, and a riverboat ride
on the Moskva River.

The exhibit includes work from 14 local artists who use painting, tapestry, sculpture, and drawing to delve into the unifying aspects of religion. Presentation content: Several common threads, such as the Trinity and virgin birth, are found in the world's various religious traditions, but the Golden Strand is Divine Energy, that is, God's universal love for all people. While the ego would have us believe in sin, or separation from God and from each other, God's love reminds us that we are part of the great Golden Strand that winds all of us into a Grand Universal Tapestry. |
"The Messenger," a painting by Kim Ensch was one of the pieces of art on display at the "Common Threads" exhibit at Madonna University in Livonia.
